Hyperledger is an open-sourced community that focuses on building stable frameworks, tools, and libraries for enterprise-grade blockchain deployments. It was started in 2015 by Linux Foundation with a total of 30 firms. This project has then grown to more than 120 member companies in the present day. Hyperledger was started with an aim of collaborating with different organizations to develop reliable and high-performance blockchain and distributed ledger-based technology frameworks. This will enable organizations to use these platforms to improve their overall operations. It is however crucial to note that Hyperledger was started to improve the overall Blockchain platform and not any particular cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, etc.
This project includes some of the top organizations of the world such as JP Morgan, American Express, IBM, Samsung, Hitachi, Bosch, Daimler, Microsoft, Blockforce, ConsenSys, etc. Hyperledger works only to develop the required infrastructure as well as other necessities for the Blockchain-based systems and other related applications for various industrial applications.
